The ancient city of Ephesus in Turkey's Central Aegean region is a sight to behold. It was founded in the 4th century B.C but dates back to 10th C B.C. It played an important role in history being the capital city of Asia Minor and being home to St Paul, St John and Virgin Mary. Given that it suffered through fires, wars, diseases, and earthquakes, it is in astonishing shape.
