The ancient city of Ephesus is located in Turkey's Central Aegean region. Its extensive remains reflect centuries of history from classical Greece to the Roman Empire.It was founded in the 4th century B.C. but recent discovers put it back to the 10th century B.C. It was home to St Paul and John, and home to the Virgin Mary.
