We start out at the Convent San Marco with its wonderful monks' rooms and the convent cloisters then off to several famous churches: Santa Maria Novella (a whose who of old Florence is buried here), and San Croce (Florence's Pantheon). Next to the Academia to see the Statue of David and others. No visit is complete with touring the Pitti Palace, the Uffizi, and touring Piazza della Signoria ( the heart of Florence), then the Palazzo Vecchio, and then to the Dumo. Finally, we end up Pont Vecchio with its wonderful colored apartments spanning the Arno River.
